Police investigate after ‘pensioner abused’ in Stamford Hill

The victim is alleged to have opened her door to a man shouting that Jews should leave the country in Stamford Hill

Police are investigating after a woman was allegedly abused by a man telling her Jews should leave the UK in Stamford Hill.

The 75-year-old pensioner was confronted by the abuse after answering her doorbell on Friday, 26 March, according to Shomrim, the Jewish neighbourhood watch.

Officers say they are investigating the report of antisemitic abuse on Stamford Hill’s Darenth Road, but have not yet made any arrests.

“Officers have made contact with the victim and are in the process of progressing the investigation,” said a Met Police spokesman.
