Police investigate alleged assault of Jewish teen left with ‘scratches on face’

Police are investigating the alleged assault of a 13-year-old teen in Stamford Hill  while she was walking home from school

Police are investigating the alleged assault of a 13-year-old teen in Stamford Hill  reportedly left with “scratches on her face” while walking home from school.

The Met Police confirmed no arrests have been made and were called at around 5.20pm yesterday to reports of an assault on Holmleigh Road.

A spokesperson for the force said a female suspect attempted to grab glasses from the victim and left her with scratch marks on her face.

Shomrim volunteer Chaim Hochhauser told JN the volunteer security group attended the incident and that it was working to obtain CCTV footage.

He said the victim was “visibly Jewish” and claimed a female suspect came up to her while she was walking home from school with a friend and allegedly punched her and grabbed her glasses.
