A specialist criminal defence lawyer has retweeted social media posts denying the Hamas atrocities of 7 October.

Ash Ahmed, with ASL Solicitors and Advocates and listed on professional networking site LinkedIn as a “Higher Courts Advocate, Police Misconduct Panel Member & experienced Non-Executive Director” has also posted vile slurs against Israel, seen by Jewish News.

In one post to his 500 connections, he writes: “There is no end to the evils of the TERRORIST ISRAELI regime! I am really shocked that they are still supported by the British Government – not surprised that America are supporting them – as they just another version of the State of Israel! But, really surprised & shocked as to the British stance in this conflict! All are war criminals and should be tried in ICC!”

Accusing Israel of ethnic cleansing and calling it an evil regime, Ahmed also re-posted a Tweet/X from former MP George Galloway, which includes the statement: “The foul allegations of rape have been dropped by the Israeli government.”

A spokesperson for the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioners’ Office told Jewish News: “Mr Ahmed does not represent the office of the Police and Crime Commissioner. His views are entirely his own. Questions concerning Mr Ahmed’s personal posts should be addressed to Mr Ahmed.”
