Pop-icon Christina Aguilera announced she will be performing in Israel in August.

The concert will take place at Live Park in Rishon Lezion on August 10. Aguilera is known for hits like “Beautiful”, “What A Girl Wants”, “Come On Over”, “Dirty” and “Can’t Hold Us Down.”

The pop-singer has won five Grammy Awards and served five years as a judge on the popular singing contest “The Voice.”

In 2013, Aguilera was named among the 100 most influential artists in the world by Time Magazine.

Celine Dion wrote in her essay about Aguilera that she “has proved she can sing anything and make it sound incredible: pop, soul, R&B; and even country.”

Aguilera is the latest in a long list of international rock and pop icons performing in Israel recently. American pop-singer Bruno Mars is scheduled to perform two sold out shows on October 4 and October 7.

Last week, rock-legends Guns N’Roses gave a show in Israel, and the week before that British pop-legend Robbie Williams mesmerised the audience with his billboard hits.
