Premier League guru kicks-off Young Professionals’ Group

Alex Fynn, one of the key men behind the formation of English football’s Premier League, will be the special guest at the launch of the Board of Deputies’ Young Professionals Group.

The event, which takes place on Thursday 12 December, is the first of a series of events, aimed at bringing together 25-35 year olds for fun, informal events, in which they are able to hear a talk from top professionals.

Fynn is a former vice-chairman of advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, with his clients including Arsenal, Celtic, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as the Football League and the Football Association. Through his work he has been influential in the formation of both the Premier League and the European Champions League, and has written extensively on the subject of the football business. His talk is entitled “The secret history of Saatchi and Saatchi and the Premier League: How to be successful or not in advertising and sports marketing”.

The event is free of charge and dinner will be provided. You must reserve a place for security reasons. The reception is at 7pm at the Board’s offices at 6 Bloomsbury Square, with the talk starting at 7.30 prompt. The event will finish at 9pm. Email james.martin@bod.org.uk for more details.
