The Prince Of Egypt (A New Musical) by Stephen Schwartz @ Dominion Theatre, London.

American-Jewish composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz is set to be the subject of a new documentary by director John Scheinfeld.

Defying Gravity: From Godspell to Wicked, A Musical Journey, will start production next year and chart his stage successes, which include Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Prince of Egypt, as well as the shows that did not fare so well, including The Baker’s Wife.

Schwartz, an Oscar, Tony and Grammy winner, has penned a list of hits over the years that include Corner of the Sky, Colors of the Wind and Day By Day.

While The Prince of Egypt enjoyed only a short West End debut shortly before lockdown, the musical is set to return at the Dominion Theatre on 2 November.
