Princess Diana’s niece, Lady Kitty Spencer, married Jewish fashion tycoon Michael Lewis on Saturday.

The model, 30, tied the knot to the billionaire businessman, 62, a ceremony in Italy, where she was reportedly walked down the aisle by her brothers Louis and Samuel.

Kitty is the daughter of Earl Spencer, Diana Princess of Wales’s brother. She was said to have been in the process of converting to Judaism when her engagement was announced in 2020.

She tied the knot wearing a Victorian-inspired Dolce and Gabbana gown, which the fashion brand said had been created exclusively for Lady Kitty, 30, “on the most important day of her life”. The cousin of the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge was appointed Dolce and Gabbana’s global ambassador earlier this year, and has been in a relationship with Mr Lewis, 62, for two years.

Lewis, who chairs the Foschini Group, was previously married and has three children. A South Africa native whose fortune was estimated at about £76m in early 2020, his family reportedly donated £3 million to Oxford University to fund an appointment of a Professor of Israel Studies.

Celebrities including Pixie Lott, Idris Elba, Viscountess Emma Weymouth and Made In Chelsea’s Mark Francis Vandelli were said to have attended the star-studded wedding.

Lady Kitty was born in England and raised in South Africa but spent much of her childhood at Althorp, where Diana also grew up, and which will be inherited by her younger brother Louis.
