Rapper Cardi B deletes religious Jews tweet as cops drop mic-throw charges against her

Female rap icon Cardi B has sparked concern after celebrating confirmation that Las Vegas police had dropped charges against her over a concert microphone-throwing incident by tweeting a photograph of two religious Jewish men.

The Grammy winning hip hop star’s social media post was initially meant to be a compliment to her own legal team, who are Jewish, who fought off claims the rapper had thrown her mic at a female fan at a concert last weekend.

But the tweet, which was captioned with the word “Remember …..” was later deleted following claims it was offensive, rather than complimentary.

The controversial post was also an apparent reference to Cardi B’s 2018 track Bickenhead, which includes the lyrics: “Lawyer is a Jew he gon’ chew up all the charges.”

Confirming that Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, would not face charges over the microphone incident, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said:”After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence. No charges will be filed in relation to this case.”

Her lawyers Drew Findling, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld said in a statement: “On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept’s diligent and prompt resolution of this matter.”

An earlier complaint had been filed against the hip-hop star by a concertgoer with the LVMPD, who said she had been “struck by an item that was thrown from the stage.”

The incident took place during the Bodak Yellow rapper’s recent Las Vegas concert.

Cardi B was performing at the Drai’s Beachclub when she asked the crowd to throw some water on her to cool her down in the heat.

In response, an attendee tossed a cup with an unknown liquid at her.

The rapper responded by throwing a microphone at the crowd, which then reportedly hit a woman who later contacted police about the incident.

Video footage of the Las Vegas incident almost immediately began circulating online, drawing millions of views.

Cardi B has previously spoken out in opposition to the rise of conspiracy theories, referencing her horror that in the 1930s, people were “naive” to believe in lies that led to the Holocaust.

She said:”I’m really fascinated with the Holocaust. People were so naive back then to believe certain things.”
