Reubens restaurant and deli tipped to reopen

The kosher institution known for its salt beef sandwiches could return to the Jewish dining scene

A beloved Kosher deli in Baker Street which closed its doors earlier this year could reopen in the coming weeks, JN has learnt.

Reubens, which opened on Baker Street in 1973, announced it was unexpectedly closing down in May after 46 years in business following a family bereavement.

But the kosher institution known for its salt beef sandwiches, latkes and chicken soup is tipped to return to the kosher dining scene after a refurbishment.

The deli teased its reopening on social media, with a series of cryptic posts, including lines like “Coming Soon” and “Stay tuned for more details”. Its website has been updated, urging users to enter their free salt beef giveaway.
