Richmond Synagogue welcomes potential newcomers with first post-lockdown barbecue

More than 120 people enjoyed the sunshine and seeing old friends last weekend

A synagogue has embraced a return to normality with a barbecue for 120 members and possible future joiners.

Richmond Synagogue also hosted a workshop for children provided by PJ Library called Bushcraft.

Some lovely music was played by a Ukrainian refugee in its the first big event since the Covid lockdown, which was welcomed by a large number of new families who joined the event.

Malcolm Levi, Chair of Richmond Synagogue, said: “It was a wonderful event. We attracted so many potential members, Cheder children and friends and everyone had a lovely time. It reflected very well on Richmond and is a positive sign for the future. Wonderful!”
