One rocket was fired from Gaza on Thursday, the Israeli military confirmed.

“The IDF Aerial Defense Array launched an interceptor. The rocket appears to have been intercepted,” the IDF said.

The Israeli military killed a member of Islamic Jihad, Farouk Salameh, in an operation in Jenin earlier today. Another Palestinian was killed during the operation.

According to Israeli media, Islamic Jihad took responsibility for the rocket fired from Gaza, calling it a response to the  killing of one of its members.

Another Palestinian man, Daoud Mahmoud Khalil Rayan, was killed early Thursday morning, as he was hurling molotov cocktails at Israeli soldiers.

14 Palestinians were arrested overnight in extensive military operations across the West Bank.

This comes as Benjamin Netanyahu is re-elected Prime Minister, set to form a coalition with two ultra-orthodox parties and a far-right nationalist party.
