The Rabbi Sacks Legacy has launched free educational resources to enhance the high holiday season.

Provided by the charitable trust which honours the life and teachings of the former Chief Rabbi, the print-at-home materials, available in English, Hebrew and Spanish, can be downloaded from www.rabbisacks.org and are intended to be printed before the holidays begin.

For Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the organisation has developed a PDF collection of reading material from Rabbi Sacks’ Rosh Hashanah messages written to Jewish communities during his tenure as Chief Rabbi, dating back to the 1990s.

The brief annual essays were written to provoke thought and conversation surrounding the great issues of the day and are intended to provide inspiration for the Jewish New Year.

The second resource is a series of six posters all including inspirational quotes from Rabbi Sacks about the Sukkot holiday, intended to adorn the walls of the sukkah.

The Rabbi Sacks Legacy director of communications Jonny Lipczer said: “Every year, when Rosh Hashanah approached, Rabbi Sacks would craft a short yet profound message to Jewish communities worldwide, drawing from key moments of the previous year to offer inspiration for the upcoming year.

“We have delved into the archives to bring these messages together and share them ahead of Rosh Hashanah, which serve as a reminder of the enduring brilliance of Rabbi Sacks’ wisdom.”

Rabbi Sacks passed away in November 2020.
