Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher helped donate a cargo of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to NHS workers on the frontline of the pandemic.

The celebrity couple, who recently celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary, teamed up with Salesforce, DMGT, dmg media and Mail newspapers to airlift 100,000 masks and 50,000 coveralls to the UK with a new charity called Mail Force.

Marc Benioff, the CEO of Salesforce, revealed in a tweet on Wednesday that supplies of PPE had just landed at Heathrow Airport, with Cohen’s help.

To which, the British comedian replied: “Isla and I are so happy to have such persistent and generous partners in getting this done. Businesses please follow and get PPE in through #ProjectHope in US or #MailForce in UK.”

Over 100 frontline NHS and care workers have died during the pandemic, Dominic Raab revealed on Wednesday at Prime Minister’s Questions.

The foreign secretary deputising for the PM said there was a “global supply shortage” of PPE and added that the UK was “doing absolutely everything we can to make sure that those on the front line get the equipment that they need.”
