Novelist and children’s author Santa Montefiore has been announced as the guest judge in Jewish News and Wizo UK’s competition for budding authors.

Montefiore has sold more than one million copies of her bestselling novels for adults and penned a children’s series, The Royal Rabbits of London, about a secret society of MI5-style rabbits living beneath Buckingham Palace, with her husband, historian and broadcaster Simon Sebag Montefiore.

There’s still a few weeks left for budding writers and poets, aged 7 to 18, to submit entries – and win £100 book vouchers for themselves and their school.

Simply write about your dream to make the world a better place, either as a story or poem, in no more than 300 words.

The winner in each category – primary (ages 7 to 11) and secondary (ages 11 to 18) – will receive £50 book vouchers, while runners-up will be given £25 book vouchers, as well as the equivalent prize for their schools.

Enter online below or at jewishnews.co.uk/story-competition before Wednesday, 31 October. Good luck!
