A Saudi Newspaper wished Jews around the world a happy new year during Rosh Hashanah by temporarily changing its profile picture on X with the text “Shana Tova” in Hebrew.

Arab News, an English-language daily newspaper published in Saudi Arabia, published a picture with apples and honey, saying “Shana Tova,” in Hebrew.

The newspaper, which is closely associated with royal family ruling Saudi Arabia, was established as the first English-language daily in the Kingdom in 1975.

The new year greeting comes amid an American push to mediate a normalisation deal between Saudi Arabia and Israel, something the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared a top priority for his government.
