Scrabble in seventh heaven

Scrabble maintained their 100 percent winning start to the season

MGBSFL Division Two:
Scrabble 7 Hendon United B 0
Sunday, 27 September, 2015

Scrabble went into the game knowing that they were facing their toughest test of the season to date against a very useful Hendon Side.

The game was fairly evenly balanced until Josh Sheridan opened the scoring after about 25 minutes, before Zak McLeod added a second before half-time. Their lead before the break would have been even greater but for some fine stops from the Hendon goalkeeper.

Scrabble changes for the second half, bringing on striker Danny Sherman, who helped himself to two goals in a period of sustained second half pressure, when for 25 minutes, Scrabble enjoyed a purple patch.

Having then used their three substitutes and with a more attacking look to the side, Scrabble went on to score three more, Zak McLeod scoring again and Jonathan Peters adding a second to his tally.

With Elliot Espinoza pulling the strings in midfield and a solid display by the Scrabble back four in which Adam Newman is in top form it is now three straight league wins for the Scrabble boys who have conceded just once in those games.
