Sela set for Wimbledon warm-up at Queens

Sela will be warming up for Wimbledon at Queens on Monday

Preparations for this year’s Wimbledon gets underway on Monday, with Dudi Sela competing in the tradional warm-up tournament at Queens.

Sela is yet to find out his first round opponent at the Aegon Championships, having been drawn against a qualifier, though his reward for a win would see him come up against the Czech Republic world No 6 Tomas Berdych. Drawn in the top half of the draw, the Israeli could potentially face Andy Murray in the quarter-finals.

Also competing at the tournament is Jonathan Erlich, who will be teaming up with South African Kevin Anderson in the men’s doubles. They face Australian Matthew Ebden and Pole Mariusz Fyrstenberg in the first round. A win would see them take on Philipine Treat Huey and Great Britain’s Dominic Inglot in the second round.

Shahar Peer is in Birmingham this week, where she faces Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic in the first round of the Aegon Classic.
