Dudi Sela beat Kyle Edmund in impressive style

Israel did have something to cheer about from the first day of action in Rio as their only tennis player, Dudi Sela, claimed a straight sets first round win.

Facing Damir Dzumhur from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sela, is Israel’s first man to be taking part in the singles competition since 1992, took 36 minutes to win the first set 6-4, and then produced the same scoreline in the second, albeit taking slightly longer to accomplish it, eight minutes shy of an hour.

He next faces either Australian Sam Groth or Belgian David Goffin.
