After 20 years of Rabbi Dr Harvey and Rebetzen Vicki Belovski’s dedicated service, Golders Green United Synagogue (GGS) is looking to recruit an outstanding new Senior Rabbi/Rabbinic Couple.

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, charismatic and inspirational Senior Rabbi/Rabbinic Couple with a passion to drive and implement a strategic vision for our community post Pandemic.

The selected individual/couple should be able to demonstrate their ability to be engaging, inspiring, non-judgmental and hard-working with a love of community. They would be expected to immerse themselves at the heart of the community and engage with all members across the entire community with warmth, empathy, and enthusiasm, to understand the needs of our diverse community and to be able to cater for their pastoral, spiritual and educational requirements.

The past decade has seen an extraordinary regeneration of the community, with the opening of Rimon Jewish Primary School in 2012, which has, and continues to attract young families to the area. In 2015, GGS appointed Rabbi Sam and Rebetzen Dr Hadassah Fromson with a specific responsibility for building a warm and welcoming environment for young families and young adults.

Following a six-month building project and a remarkable fundraising effort, the Grade II listed Shul building, which opened in 1922, has been extensively renovated to create additional and much-needed spaces for our enhanced programming.

This is a role which will excite and challenge. It offers huge potential to grow the community sustainably and influence its strategic development, and to make a lasting contribution to a community that has consistently welcomed change and opens its arms to new ideas and initiatives.
