Spain and Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos paid a visit to the family of murdered terror victim Haiel Sitawe, 24 hours after Spain met Israel in a World Cup qualifying match in Jerusalem.

The Israeli Druze police officer, who was murdered in the attack last July, was also an avid Real Madrid fan and named his son, who was born two weeks before the shooting, Ramos.

Following Monday night’s match which Spain won 1-0 Ramos visited the family and posed for pictures, including of him holding Ramos.

The family also presented the footballer with pictures of Sitawe, accompanied by a message in Spanish which read: “Dear Ramos, thank you for fulfilling the dream of our beloved Haiel. We appreciate it a lot.”
