Service Manager – Family Support

Location: Jewish Family Centre
Salary: Dependant on Experience

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Reporting to: CEO and Board of Trustees

The Role:

To lead and manage the Family Support Service, delivering high-quality, safe, and effective support to children, young people, and families. The role includes oversight of a multidisciplinary team and responsibility for safeguarding, service delivery, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team
  • Manage referrals, assessments, and case allocation
  • Oversee Family Support and Contact Centre services
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and data protection requirements
  • Develop strong partnerships with schools, social care and community organisations
  • Maintain oversight of complex cases and provide professional guidance
  • Contribute to service development and continuous improvement
  • Report to senior leadership and Board of Trustees as required

About You:

  • Social Work qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ management
  • Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge
  • Experience working with children, young people, and families
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage complex cases and multidisciplinary teams
