Artist Ivor Roth invites you to enjoy your favourite Israeli show on a tee and drinking your tea

Ivor Roth with the portrait

Ivor Roth fell in love with Shtisel because “it is unlike any other show.”

The Birmingham born artist who resides in Bournemouth welcomes any programme without American-style car chases, but the Israeli series – “is the best thing I’ve ever watched.”

Working mainly in oil on canvas, Ivor usually focuses on architecture, urban settings, and the human figure, but the TV series spoke to him.

So inspired by Shtisel, he painted the cast as their characters and so many people liked them he decided to use them on clothing and homeware.

Even Shulem’s mother, Malka Shtisel as portrayed by the late Hanna Rieber in season one gets her likeness on a bag and the images are available on any item. Who could resist a cup of Shtisel?
