Two former Israeli prime ministers and the founder of modern Zionism will feature on limited edition bottles to mark Israel’s birthday.

Israeli manufacturing firm SodaStream have launched a special line of products to mark 70 years since the establishment of the state of Israel.

Golda Meir, First Female Prime Minister of Israel, David Ben Gurion, First PM of the Jewish state, and Theodor Herzl, Father of modern political Zionism, feature on the products launched ahead of Yom Ha’atzmaut on Thursday.

SodaStream, known as sparkling water makers for its production of machines which carbonate drinks and help the environment by reducing bottle waste, is offering its limited edition product at a discounted price to mark the celebration.

Bottles featuring Ben Gurion, Meir or Herzl will be available at sodastream.co.uk/independence from Tuesday for a one-off price £12.99 until 26 April, after which point they return to £17.99.

Tiago Alves General Manager at SodaStream UK said: “We at SodaStream wanted to celebrate such a significant and exciting anniversary by honouring some of the most important political figures in Israel’s history in a way only we could.

We hope the Jewish community enjoys this limited edition set of bottles, and uses them with their SodaStream to help cut down on single-use plastic bottles.”
