Smoke and Mirrors: The Psychology of Magic 

What can magic tell us about the human mind? This exhibition brings together psychology and entertainment in search of the truth about deception. I,I,I,I,I,I,I Kathy Acker 

Last chance to see the first UK exhibition dedicated to American-Jewish writer Kathy Acker, whose work spanned novels, plays and essays on post-modernism and feminism, and influenced the avant-garde art and literary scenes both here and in the US during the 1980s and 1990s. At Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) until Sunday, 4 August. www.ica.art

Television 

The seventh and final series of Jenji Kohan’s dark comedy Orange Is The New Black, based on the real-life memoirs of Piper Kernan, is now available on Netflix. Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon and Uzo Aduba lead the cast of female prisoners at Litchfield Penitentiary, who grapple with injustice both behind bars and beyond it as they prepare to adapt to life on the outside. Natasha Lyonne returns as Jewish prisoner Nicky Nichols, alongside Adrienne C Moore as Cindy, who embraced her inner-Jew and decided to convert in series 3. www.netflix.com
