Brave New Visions is at Sotheby's

1. BRAVE NEW VISIONS

2. DENIAL 

Rachel Weisz stars in this gripping court drama based on the real-life libel trial involving American academic Deborah Lipstadt and disgraced historian David Irving (Timothy Spall),  who maintained no Jews were gassed at Auschwitz. 3. THE FALCON’S MALTESER BY ANTHONY HOROWITZ

Acclaimed stage version of Anthony Horowitz’s hilarious novel. A solitary box of Maltesers is delivered by a miniature Mexican, but why is half of London’s criminal underworld willing to kill for them? At The Vaults Theatre until 25 August. www.thevaults.london

4. VARDA BY AGNÈS  

The last film from Belgian-born grande dame of French cinema Agnès Varda, who died aged 90 in March. The recipient of an honorary Oscar, Varda was considered an influential force in the New Wave movement. At JW3 on Friday, 9 August, and Sunday, 11 August, 2.30pm. www.jw3.org.uk

5. ADAM KAY: THIS IS GOING TO HURT (SECRET DIARIES OF A JUNIOR DOCTOR)

Award-winning comedian Adam Kay shares entries from his diaries as a junior doctor in a stage adaptation of his bestselling book, featuring stand-up and music.  At the Vaudeville Theatre until 30 August. www.thisisgoingtohurt.co.uk
