The Refugee Orchestra Project
The Refugee Orchestra Project makes its UK debut under Russian-born, American-Jewish conductor Lidiya Yankovskaya, with pieces by icon Irving Berlin and Claude-Michel Schönberg, as well as composers Milad Yousufi and Gity Razaz and Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dance.

Pain and Glory (15)
Antonio Banderas picked up best actor at this year’s Cannes Film Festival for his portrayal of Salvador Mallo, a film director in physical decline who finds salvation in recounting vital moments from his life. Pedro Almodóvar’s Spanish-language film also stars Penelope Cruz.

Into Thra, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Exhibition
BFI Southbank is hosting a free exhibition to coincide with new Netflix series, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Jim Henson Company puppets are also voiced by Helena Bonham-Carter, Harvey Fierstein and Jason Isaacs.

Leave to Land: The Kitchener Camp Rescue
Mobile exhibition about the Kitchener camp rescue of Jewish refugees to mark 80 years since their arrival in Britain. It draws on hundreds of images, testimonies and documents shared by their descendants to reveal this fascinating story.

Art-Exit: 1939: A Very Different Europe
A look at the forced journeys of many of central Europe’s most distinguished artists, who fled tyranny in the lead-up to the Second World War, including works by Adler, Auerbach, Chagall, Freud, Soutine and Topolski.
