David Seitler’s second minute goal proved to be the difference in the clash of the two heavyweights, as Hendon keep alive their league & cup treble dream, while at the same time, ending Norstar’s.

NORTH WEST NEASDEN (Prem) 1 HARMEN (Prem) 2
Harmen won this all-Premier Division tie to book their place in the last four.
James Gershfield and Sam Castle scored the goals, with player-manager Joel Alterman telling jewishnews.co.uk: “This was never going to be an easy game, played on a sloping bobbly pitch, but we looked comfortable throughout. As with the league game against Neasden, they were constantly seeking Danny Sherman to hold the ball up for others and we were able to counter that with Sam Castle and Jon Morris winning headers for fun at the back. Concentration levels have to be high on this surface with everyone mindful that one bobble can lead to a goal.
“With the score at 1-1 at half-time, we had gravity on our side in the second half and continued to push Neasden back into their own half and scored our winner. After the disappointment of crashing out of the CA cup, we have rallied the boys for the Morrison and our aim is to win the cup while not jeopardising out league form. We eagerly await the results from the final two quarter final games and the subsequent draw for the semis.”
Harmen’s Oli Leslie told jewishnews.co.uk: “The aim at the beginning of the season was to finish in the top-four and win a cup, and we are definitely on course in the league and the Morrison. We know that if we play to the best of our abilities then no one will be able to halt our march to silverware. Bring on the semis!!!”

The Division Three champions claimed their first win of the campaign as two goals from Avi Markiewicz, plus strikes from Josh Bharier and Aryeh Goldring, saw them to the points.
Manager Jeremy Brown told jewishnews.co.uk: “I’m really proud of the boys for getting the job done and especially Adam who had to take all the responsibility, but did fantastically well. We now have a chance to progress in this tournament so we’ll do everything we can.”
Adam Kay, who was stepping in for Brown, told jewishnews.co.uk: “It was a committed performance against next season’s opposition. After a tight first half our quality and fitness prevailed. Credit to L’Equipe who battled throughout and pushed us right until the end.”

Camden booked their place in the quarter-finals as they claimed their second win from two games.
Rob Hershkorn, David Kanzen, Jake Saunders and Adam Paris were all on target, with joint-manager Max Saunders telling jewishnews.co.uk: “It was a laboured performance, with half the team still feeling the effects from the night before. We did enough for the win, which was never really in doubt, but we will have to step things up another gear, or two, for the knockout rounds.
“Rob opened the scoring and dedicated his goal to his late grandpa, Eric Hershkorn, who sadly passed away last week.”
Dan Tan scored twice for the Raiders, with player-manager Zack Gothelf telling jewishnews.co.uk: “It was a heartfilled performance, but a depleted Raiders side couldn’t get something from Camden Park.

Player-manager Mitch Young told jewishnews.co.uk: “I’m delighted to progress to the quarter-finals with one game to go! The game itself we dominated and were very comfortable throughout. The pitch was horrible and restricted us somewhat, but we got the job done and that is the main thing.
“Credit to Boca who never gave up and I wish them well. With the title in the bag we now have the Morrison quarters and the BGT quarters to look forward to.”

The Raiders booked their place in the last eight with this win over the Lions.
David Esterkin and Alex Hershman scored for the Raiders, with manager Jonathan Adelman telling jewishnews.co.uk: “We scored two late goals in a game which we dominated, but found the Lion’s goalkeeper in inspired form. Overall I’m happy with the performance given it was our first game in a few weeks.”

Two goals from Ben Zloof – the first from the penalty spot, helped Mill Hill get their campaign off by winning a point.
Manager Daniel Beresford told jewishnews.co.uk: “We weren’t at our best today, but we gave it a good go and if that’s what the first division has to offer, then I’m sure we will have no problems next season if we get promotion.”
Daniel Pike scored twice for SPEC, who have now played their three group games, and will face an anxious wait to see if they qualify, having to wait for the other sides to complete their group fixtures.
Player-manager Ricky Lawrence told jewishnews.co.uk: “In truth, we should have had the game sewn up by half time, but in fairness to Mill Hill, they played a lot better in the second half and if you don’t take your chances, you’ve only got yourself to blame. We’ve now got to hope five points will be enough to take us through.”

Oakwood stormed to the top of the table as they recorded this emphatic win over Fortune.
Jacob Richler Kleiman scored half of their goals, Charles Cohen chipped in with a hat-trick, with Dan Ash hitting their eighth.
Right back Josh Berkely saw red for the O’s for handball with the score at 7-0, with manager Jason Stein telling jewishnews.co.uk: “I’m absolutely delighted to win 8-1, obviously. But I’m more pleased with the attitude of the players than anything. We hadn’t played for a month and we had a depleted squad with only 11 players available.
“But the boys – more or less the core of our squad anyway – turned up and did a very professional job on Temple Fortune. We’ve laid down a massive marker in the group and we’re in a good position. Win next week against Hendon United B and we’re through to a quarter-final tie.
“We’ve done half the job today and we will aim to finish it next week when we have even more choice in the squad. We cannot let this slip.”
Fortune player-manager Jonathan Cohen told jewishnews.co.uk: “We were’nt at the races at all. In the first half we didn’t get close enough to them and we paid the price.
“It’s the first time this season our morale was not there and that was the most disappointing thing.”

Sixth travelled to seventh, level on 14 points, so it was no surprise this ended in a draw.
Ben Lampert scored for the Lions, Guy Helman replied for the visitors.

BRIXTON OLD BOYS 2 BLIZZARD STORM 4
Storm ended their league campaign in winning style, with a victory which pushes Brixton closer to the relegation trap door.
Dean Shaw scored twice, with Shai Revivo and Robbie Berwald also on target – two of the goals coming in the final seven minutes.
Player-manager Simon Linden told jewishnews.co.uk: “Just glad to get out of Enfield with three points to finish our league season on the right note. It was a tough morning, the pitch was so difficult to play on and suited Brixton much more than us. I’m pleased to see us guaranteed a top-four spot, hopefully finishing third, three points off a promotion place. I think we have done well considering we were a mid-table Division Two side last year.
“We now turn our attention to the cup, with huge games coming up against AC Mill Hill and Blancos, it won’t be easy but I want us to go the distance and go on a serious cup run to Wingate.”
Stefan Benfredj scored twice for the hosts.

Two goals from Matt Frohlich helped the Brady boys to this win, as the Blancos boys ended their league season with defeat.
James Joseph and Nathan Harrod scored their other two, while Zvi Freedman and Adam Hersh netted for the visitors.

FC TEAM C 4 AC WHETSTONE 4
Team saw their promotion hopes suffer a blow as they were held to a point in this eight-goal epic.
Adam Stolerman and Mitch Lassman scored two each for Team, though it wasn’t enough to claim the win as Jonah Gordon-Boyd’s double and strikes from Philipe Auret and Dan Cohen, earned Whetstone a point.
Whetstone’s joint-manager Clive Nathan told jewishnews.co.uk: “This was a ding-dong battle that had everyone guessing who the winner would be. We hit the bar three times and really should have won. We did struggle with their long ball game and really should not have let them back into it having come back from 2-0 down at half-time to lead 3-2.
“We made three changes at the break, and Dan Brennan was excellent in midfield, coming off the bench to give a man-of-the-match performance.
“With just two games to go, we want all of our squad to play a full part and we are determined to savour every minute. We did that today and there is always something special about celebrating a last minute equaliser!”

HENDON UNITED B 2 REAL SOSOBAD 4
Sosobad kept alive their promotion hopes as two goals from Josh Jacobs, along with strikes from Adam Goodman and an own goal saw them to the points.
Acting-manager Josh Hambling told jewishnews.co.uk: “We started well but we couldn’t make good possession count and an error cost us to go 1-0 down, but I think that gave the team a kick up the backside and we got an equaliser just before half-time.
“This spurred us on in the second half with the greatest bit of management this century, making two substitutions at the break which saw us go on to control the game and get two well-worked goals.
“Hendon battled well and somehow were awarded a penalty which we escaped unscathed only to concede late on with a long throw. This gave Hendon some encouragement but we finished it off well with Josh Jacobs taking a great solo run and slotting it in for 4-2.
“The pitch was difficult for us to play – our normal passing game at Burnt Oak was more like Bradford with players making idiots of themselves all over the pitch!
“Onwards for the next game which is another cup final as we look to secure second spot. The team are playing well and we’re looking better each week. I’m not sure why the gaffa Shafron can’t get to sleep on Saturday night’s, this managerial game is a piece of cake!”

Donetsk consolidated their mid-table placing which saw them comfortably beat the Division’s strugglers.
Adam Ellis scored twice, with Eli Davila claiming their third. Manager Elliot Nussbaum told jewishnews.co.uk: “We scored early in a competitive match, but that only caused us to forget the basics, thinking we could easily win. Fortunately we managed to find our natural game towards the end of the first half giving us a 3-0 lead.
“I was pleased in the second half that we played intelligently, comfortably controlling the game not to let KS back into the match.”
