In the latest round of Masters action, the top-two both won in Division One, while EDRS closed the gap on the leaders in Division Two, writes Jeremy Silverstone

DIVISION ONE:

TABLE
FIXTURES & RESULTS

Leaders North London Raiders maintained their five-point lead at the top of the table as two goals from Tony Plaskow, coupled with strikes from David Lederman and Andy Bloom saw them to a comfortable 4-0 win over Faithfold.

Brady A leapfrogged Waldaf Town into second spot after they won 4-1, Adam Gishen, Scott Warren, Jon Dubiner and Michael Abraham all finding the back of the net.

Meanwhile, Scrabble Harmen and Chigwell shared the goals and points in a hard-fought 1-1 draw. Andy Miller opening the scoring for Scrabble midway through the second half, but that was cancelled out by Craig Pearl’s late strike, a point which lifted Chigwell off the bottom on the table.

DIVISION TWO:

TABLE
FIXTURES & RESULTS

EDRS returned to winning ways – and closed the gap on leaders London Maccabi Lions – thanks to a 2-1 win over St John’s Wood Tigers. Phil Silver gave them an early lead, before Mark Kingston doubled their advantage after the break. John Perloff reduced the deficit from the penalty spot, but EDRS held on to take the points.

And at the lower end of the table, Brady B finally came good after a long run of disappointing results, with Hendon Harriers feeling the backlash as a hat-trick from Faramarz Moghim and a treble of stunning 20-yard shots from Gary Field giving them a 6-0 win that lifts them into mid-table.
