The raiders edged towards the Masters title with a thrilling win over Chigwell, while a late show from the Lions saw them crowned Division Two champions, writes Jeremy Silverstone…
DIVISION ONE:
Goals from Tony Plaskow, David Lederman and Adam Harvey gave North London Raiders a 3-2 win over Chigwell, leaving them with the task of adding just one more point from their remaining three games to secure back-to-back titles.
A solitary goal from Alex Bourne gave Waldaf a victory over Scrabble Harmen, lifting them into second place.
DIVISION TWO:
Maccabi London Lions clinched the title as late goals from Mike Abraham and Marc Morris saw them to a 2-1 win over Zig Zag Marshside, Paul Shamplina’s deft header had seen the Lions trail for the majority of the game.
Temple Fortune and St John’s Wood Tigers shared the spoils in their final league games, with John Perloff and David Boyne netting for Tigers in their 2-2 draw. Phil Mayer and Yali Mamouri replied for Fortune.
