Sunday Masters review – week 3

Richard Fogelman had a Masters debut to remember for North London Raiders, while London Maccabi Lions maintained their 100 percent winning start in Division Two, writes Jeremy Silverstone

North London Raiders’ Richard Fogelman had a Masters debut to remember as he netted a hat-trick, including one from the spot, in their convincing 4-0 win over Scrabble, Wayne Davidson scored their other.

Meanwhile, Waldaf Town recorded their first win of the campaign, coming back from 2-1 down to beat Brady A 3-2, thanks to goals from Jeremy Leigh, Mike Lax and Alex Bourne. Brady’s goals came from Mark Wagman and Kevin Lotzof.

Top scorers of the day were Chigwell who recorded an emphatic 6-1 win over HMH to go to the top of the table. Mark Conway and Daniel Sugarman scored two each, with Ryan Glynne and Jon Swead also on target. Simon Shelley replied for HMH.

DIVISION TWO:

Lions maintained their 100 percent record with a 4-0 victory over Hendon Harriers, with all four goals coming in the first half from Michael Abraham.

EDRS and St John’s Wood Tigers shared the spoils with an own goal putting EDRS ahead, only to be cancelled out by Johnny Mansoor’s late equaliser to make it 1-1 and earn Tigers a point.

Finally, Marshside put six past Temple Fortune, courtesy of a brace each from Sacha Alter, Jason Rich and Danny Cuby. Yali Mamouri scored Temple Fortune’s consolation.
