DIVISION TWO:

TABLE
FIXTURES & RESULTS

The top win of the day was EDRS’s 9-0 demolition of Brady B. Gary Shaw – making his first competitive start after a long injury lay-off, began the rout from the penalty spot, and his goal was followed by a hat-trick from Martin Seifert, two from Marc Schneiderman, with strikes from James Bloom, Tony Platman and Phil Silver completing the rout.

Two of the division’s big guns faced up to each other as Maccabi London Lions entertained Glenthorne United, and it was the visitors who found themselves 2-0 up at the interval courtesy of goals from Gary Adams and Paul van Gelder. But Lions roared back with four second-half goals to run out 4-2 winners.

Zigzag Marshside recorded their first win of the campaign with a 3-1 victory over Hendon Harriers, despite going a goal down early on to Barry Silkman’s deft chip. But Fara Moghim’s run and shot brought them level and the same player gave ZM the lead with a 30-yarder, a late goal from Paul Herszaft sealed the win.
