Sunday Masters review – week 6
There were two first wins of the season in Division One, while the top three were all victorious in Division Two, writes Jeremy Silverstone…
DIVISION ONE:
Brady and Chigwell recorded their first wins of the season. Two goals from Laurence Swerner, along with Scott Warren’s strike gave Brady the points in a 3-1 win over Scrabble Harmen, Serge Cowan replied for Harmen.
Elsewhere, Chigwell beat HMH 3-2. Mark Conway scored twice, with Simon Conway also on target, with Neil Kochane and Tony Simons hit back for HMH.
DIVISION TWO:
Top of the pile are EDRS, who cruised to a 3-0 victory over Temple Fortune thanks to goals from Phil Silver, a deflected Jon Holman shot and an own goal.
Zigzag Marshside maintained their recent good form with a third successive win, courtesy of a hat-trick from Dan Cuby and a shot from the halfway line from Simon Ellard. Despite hitting back with a Melvyn Harris penalty, a depleted Brady went down 4-1.
