A trio of sides closed the gap on the leaders in Division One, while EDRS fell to their first loss of the season in Division Two, writes Jeremy Silverstone

DIVISION ONE:

TABLE
FIXTURES & RESULTS

Goals from Scott Warren, Mark Wagman, Gavin Sherman and Kevin Lotzof gave Brady A a 4-2 win over Chigwell. Paul Lenchner and Craig Pearl scored for Chigwell.

Scrabble beat HMH 7-4 thanks to doubles from Stefan Simons and Paul Stein. Also on target was Jeremy Kornhauser, Jonny Summerfield and – on his first outing for the club – Steven Gold. Neil Kochane, Lewis Cohen, Elliot Toffel and Jamie Beaumont scored for HMH.

Meanwhile, Waldaf Town overcame a one-goal half-time deficit to defeat Faithfold 6-2. Debutant Ami Wymborne netted a hat-trick, Alex Bourne scored twice, with Marc Cutler also on target. Josh Garson and Simon Beresford replied for Faithfold.

DIVISION TWO:

TABLE
FIXTURES & RESULTS

Glenthorne got back to winning ways as Adam Lennard and Sid Shaw’s goals earned them a 2-0 win over St John’s Wood Tigers. A late Andy Diamond goal gave Hendon Harriers their first win of the season and the points in their 1-0 defeat of Temple Fortune.

But the result of the day was Zigzag Marshside’s 2-0 win over table-topping EDRS. Despite EDRS having the lion’s share of the possession, a chip from Jason Rich and a header from Danny Fenton either side of the interval, and some resolute defending and goalkeeping, inflicted a first defeat of the season on EDRS and moved Marshside level on points with them, with their fourth consecutive victory.
