Waldaf claimed a shock win in Division One, while the Tigers mauled the Lions in Division Two, writes Jeremy Silverstone

DIVISION ONE:
TABLE
FIXTURES & RESULTS

Waldaf Town pulled off a surprise win over North London Raiders as Jeremy Leigh’s double, along with strikes from James Kaye and Adam Kaye earned them a 4-3 victory. Raiders replied through Wayne Davidson, Richards Sacks and an own goal.

DIVISION TWO:
TABLE
FIXTURES & RESULTS

The Tigers avenged their early-season defeat at the hands (paws? claws?) of Lions as St John’s Wood Tigers beat London Maccabi Lions with first half goals from Ashley Marks and Paul Herszaft. Despite David Kyte pulling one back for Lions from the penalty spot after the break, Tigers held on for the points.

EDRS took full advantage to cruise into top spot with a 9-0 crushing of Marshside. Russell Rich helped himself to a hat-trick, Martin Seifert and Ian Leader scored two each, with a Malcolm Joseph penalty and late strike from Nigel Conway completing the rout.

But hot on their heels – and with games in hand – are Glenthorne A, who inflicted a 5-0 defeat on Temple Fortune. David Michaels bagged a hat-trick, with Greg Morris scoring the other two . It was Glenthorne’s fifth straight league win out of five, and they are yet to concede a goal.

It proved to be a good day for Glenthorne all round, as their B-team came back from a goal down to Phil Mayer’s strike for Hendon Harriers to beat them 3-1 thanks to a wonder free-kick from Adam Lennard and two fine strikes from Nicky Pitch.
