Hendon moved a step closer to securing the League as two goals from Yishai Last helped them to this comfortable win.
Yoav Lebens was also on target, with manager David Garbacz telling jewishnews.co.uk: “We can chalk another win off the board and with just three games to go the title dream is starting to turn into reality. This was not one of our prettiest performances but we did have players away and the Hadley pitch was hard and bobbly making the ball difficult to control. Martin Smulovitch came in and turned the clock back with a vintage display at left-back and Alex Rosenthal continued his excellent form since taking over the Josh Lipman mantle. Up front Yishai last looked sharp and scored a nice brace.
“We were always comfortable but should have been more clinical in goal and played with a bit more urgency which would have put the game to bed earlier. However, the end result was all that really mattered – we have survived the Pesach period where the squad is always tested to the full.
“My mate Phil Peters was giving encouragement on the sideline and we are looking forward to welcoming him to our final three league games so he can spur us on to the bitter end.
“Our attentions now turn to two massive cup finals. First up Oakwood in the Morrison. We will need to raise our levels significantly from the last two weeks. We have set ourselves up brilliantly for the final assault on all three trophies but we still have huge hurdles to overcome until we can start celebrating. We’ll get Pesach out of the way, we’ll welcome back the ELAL flights from Tel Aviv, we’ll train hard and trust me we will be ready.”

Third hosted fourth, though five goals from Jeremy Julius ensured an emphatic win for the visitors. Joel Ross was also on target.
Team player-manager Mike Myers told jewishnews.co.uk: “A dominant performance from FC Team C. After last week’s disappointing defeat the boys showed fantastic team spirit to win in style.”

FC TEAM B 2 ATHLETIC BILBAUM 1
Team fought back from going a goal behind as strikes from Freddie Marks and Tom Miller saw them claim the points which secures their Division Two status.
Team player-manager David Gordon told jewishnews.co.uk: “We played a team missing our three top goalscorers, players were out of position and we only had eleven players. I’m really pleased to come away with three points from this game and confirm our top half finish (once the points from the cancelled Oakwood game get added on). Nobody can deny our fantastic second half to the season and we will try and finish it in style this weekend and take fourth place.”
Ed Green had fired Bilbaum ahead.

Four goals from the league’s top goalscorer Richard Fogelman saw L’Equipe to the three points, which now sees them just one win away from becoming champions.
L’Equipe manager Daniel Cordell told jewishnews.co.uk: “One more win, one step closer to the title. We sealed our last home game of the season (undefeated all season at home) with a solid performance and another four goals for out hitman Fogelman.
“One game to go and the boys are so focused on the championship.”
Oli Hitman and Jeff Gotch scored for the Cats.
