A suspected arson attack on a Brussels synagogue injured three people.

The victims inhaled smoke from the blaze, which was first reported at 6.30am on Tuesday morning.

The fire broke out on the second floor of the synagogue, which is located in the eastern suburb of Anderlecht.

Belgian fire services and prosecutors have said that initial evidence suggests the fire was a result of arson.
