The Backstreet Boys are returning to Israel

American boyband will play one concert next month in the city of Rishon LeZion - three years after their previous appearance

Backstreet Boys appear in a video on Ticketmaster Israel's Facebook page, announcing the show

The American pop band Backstreet Boys will perform in Israel.

The band, whose popularity was at its peak in the 1990s, will play one concert in April in the central city of Rishon Lezion.

The concert was announced on Monday afternoon and is based on the band’s Las Vegas show in residence at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

“Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life,” as the show is called, includes all of the band’s greatest hits.

In May 2015, the band played three shows in Israel and toured the country. Three sold-out performances in July 2014 were cancelled due to the Gaza war.

Leading musicians including Radiohead, Nick Cave, Guns N Roses and Justin Bieber have performed in Tel Aviv in the last year, while others, such as New Zealand-born singer Lorde has bowed to pressure from advocates of the Boycotts Divestment and Sanctions movement, in snubbing performing in the Jewish state.
