‘The spoon I bent for the Queen’ – Uri Geller pays his own royal tribute

The British-Israeli illusionist says Queen Elizabeth was 'mesmerising, unbelievable' and adds: 'Charles will be the best King in the universe'

Uri Geller recounts he bent spoons for the Queen and Prince Philip

The spoon-bending celebrity psychic Uri Geller recounted how he once performed his famous illusion to Queen Elizabeth.

The British-Israeli showman recounted how the Queen had chided Prince Philip in front of him after his performance.

He said from his Jaffa home on Friday: “I bent a spoon for Prince Philip, he gave me a spoon which is right on my Cadillac, and Prince Philip asked after the show whether bending spoons is like when Jesus turned water into wine.

“And the Queen immediately said, ‘oh Philip you and your theories’.

“Wow.”

Geller, a self-proclaimed psychic, also said he believed King Charles would be “the best King in the universe.”

On Elizabeth II, he said: “She stunned me with her intelligence. She was charismatic, she was mesmerising, unbelievable.

“She will obviously be greatly missed. Billions of people around the world loved her.”
