Thousands of people took to the streets of central London on Saturday to march and protest against Israel.

The Palestinian Solidarity campaign organised the ‘Justice Now: Make it Right for Palestine’ march, which was centred against the Jewish state and 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration.

Starting outside the US Embassy in Grosvenor Square, the march went past Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square, ending in Parliament Square.

Campaign Against Antisemitism took footage of protestors displaying banners which read: “Zionist media covers up Palestinian Holocaust”, while they were also heard chanting: “From the [Jordan] river to the [Mediterranean] sea, Palestine will be free”, alluding to the destruction of Israel.

Speeches were also played, which included Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, calling for the recognition of Palestine.

Counter-protesters also turned up at the rally, with pro-Israeli supporters holding up flags as the march progressed from Oxford Street.
