Three winners! Eden, Monty and Keitlin

JNF UK has revealed the names of the three talented winners of its Design A Mask For Israel Competition.

Almost a thousand pupils from 14 schools across the country submitted their colourful creations, with entries arriving from London, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow.

The winners are Monty Stateman, aged three, from Brodetsky Primary School in Leeds for the age three to five-years-old category;  Keitlin Bambans, aged seven, from Mathilda Marks-Kennedy School, Mill Hill for the six to eight-years-old category; and Eden from Etz Chaim, Mill Hill, in the nine to 11-years-old category.

All three winners were selected by a panel of judges that included cartoonist Zoom Rockman, who was employed by The Beano while at school, and Nic Abery, director and founder of LooktoLearn and creator of Israel70: Building Artistic Connections.

Their designs will now be manufactured and distributed to children supported through JNF UK projects in Israel’s peripheral regions.

CEO Charles Lossos said: “Hundreds of pupils from across the UK put pen, pencil, paint and crayon to paper and joined in our competition, and I want to thank every single one of them.

“There were so many creative designs it was almost impossible to pick the winners, but we’re delighted with the three who have been chosen. We can’t wait to see them being worn in Israel!”
