Tributes paid to ‘bubbly’ ex-JFS pupil killed in tragic fall from block of flats

Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a 22-year-old JFS pupil believed to have plunged to her death from the eighth floor window of a block of flats in Enfield.

Named locally as Annabelle Lancaster, she was found  with severe injuries in a car park near the eight-storey Brookbank building on Sunday afternoon.

Police say she died on the scene and confirmed they arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of murder on Monday, as enquiries continue.

A friend who only wanted to give her name has Courtney, 22, came to lay some flowers at the spot where she was found.

“I knew Annabelle from when we were staying in a mother and baby unit together,” she said.

“I know she was really close with her family, especially with her mum.

“She was one of those really bubbly girls, always up for a laugh. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her upset. She was always so happy.”

Messages and flowers were left beside a forensic tent on the scene.

“My beautiful sister, I love you so much, we’re broken. God had gained a beautiful angel. Aiyana will be safe. I love you so much,” one note read.

Another message said: “Our darling princess, you shined like a star from the moment you opened your eyes till the moment you closed them. We love you darling.”

JFS Headteacher Rachel Fink said: “We are all deeply saddened by the news of Annabelle’s tragic passing. Our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.”

Lancaster’s next of kin has been informed and a post-mortem examination is due to take place today.
