UEFA ban Israel from hosting games

UEFA has announced that no European club games will be able to take place in Israel due to the current security situation.

Meeting on Wednesday, European Football’s emergency committee decided that games will not be played in Israel for the time being.

As such, Israeli clubs will have to propose alternative venues when they host matches in both the Champions League and Europa League.

Maccabi Tel-Aviv will have to play the second leg of their Champions League qualifier against FC Santa Coloma outisde of Israel on Tuesday, while Hapoel Beer Sheva, Hapoel Kiryat Shmona and Hapoel Tel-Aviv will also have to find alternative venues for their Europa League qualifying games.
