A website run by of one of the community’s leading engagement groups has been hacked, leading to a “breach of some of its data”.

United Jewish Israel Appeal (UJIA) Israel Experience announced that on Friday 16 December, its online registration site https://www.myisrael.org.uk was broken into by hackers.

The organisation said the online break-in resulted in “a limited list of names and a limited list of email addresses being compromised”, but stressed that as soon as they were made aware of the issue, “the site was immediately taken down and the police and CST were informed.”

Trying to reassure those who use the site, which covers mainly applicants of Israel summer tour programmes, UJIA said “we are doing everything we can to ensure this doesn’t happen again.”

They added, that should people receive unwanted emails or have other concerns, contact them on: support@israelexperience.org.uk .
