VIDEO: Six arrested after ‘anti-Semitic’ Stamford Hill shul attack

Six people have been arrested according to the police, after Synagogue Ahavas Hatorah in Stamford Hill was attacked by up to 20 people in the early hours of 22 March.
Footage of the attack was filmed from inside, showing people trying to shelter from the intruders.
Chairs were thrown, and glass on the doors to the shul appear to be smashed, as verbal abuse is exchanged.
The police arrived the scene around 1am, according to the Standard, arresting four men and two women.
A Scotland Yard spokesperson said the fight was being treated as “anti-Semitic” but that the police did not believe it was a ‘planned attack. ‘
“The disturbance began when a group of drunk males, believed to have walked to the area from a house party nearby, tried to gain access to the synagogue in Craven Park Road, N15.”
It continues to say: “One man was injured as he sought to prevent the group from entering the building. He sustained facial injuries, not believed to be serious, and was taken to hospital for treatment.”
“The incident is being treated as an anti-Semitic incident, due to remarks made by one of the group. However there is nothing to suggest that it was a planned or targeted attack.”
Jonathan Waterfield, leading the investigation, said: “We are investigating to establish the full circumstances of the incident and to identify anyone else involved in the disturbance who has not yet been arrested.
“We have also increased police patrols in the Stamford Hill area to provide reassurance to the community.”
