Adam at a previous gold-medal win

Swimmer Adam Warner enjoyed a productive weekend after he won three gold medals at the South East Region Masters Championships in Crawley.

Winning the 200,400 and 800m free races, the competition was the first of four he’ll be participating in, in preparation for the European Masters Championships which take place in London in May.

Returning to the pool having had an operation last October, he still working on regaining full fitness and has also move onto a new Masters Club, and returned to his first Club, Barnet Copthall, where he’s swimming under coach Ian Woollard.

He said: “I’m happy with this weekend’s results as it felt great to be racing again, but I have a long way to go if I want to be up with the best when it comes to the Europeans.”
