Weintraub’s French Open campaign was a short-lived affair

Israel’s first interest at this years’ French Open lasted less than an hour after Amir Weintraub crashed out in the first qualifying round of the men’s singles.

Weintraub, who’s currently ranked 195 in the world, was beaten 2-6, 1-6, in just under 53 minutes by Great Britain’s Daniel Cox.

Meanwhile, Dudi Sela also suffered a first round exit at the Dusseldorf Open in Germany, beaten 3-6, 1-6 by Nikolay Davydenko.

Sela, Shahar Peer and Julia Glushko have all qualified for the first round at Roland Garros.
