Who is Brooklyn Beckham’s Jewish fiancée Nicola Peltz?
The Beckham progeny's bride-to-be is one of eight children born to billionaire investor Nelson Peltz and the former model Claudia Heffner Peltz
Victoria and David Beckham’s eldest child Brooklyn announced his engagement to Nicola Peltz on Saturday.
But who is the American Jewish actress?
She is best known for her roles in the fantasy action film The Last Airbender and the fourth Transformers film, Transformers: Age of Extinction, (2014) in which she stars opposite Mark Wahlberg.
She also played Bradley Martin in the drama series Bates Motel, a show inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s iconic 1960 horror film Psycho, first aired in 2013.
The 25 year-old actress landed her first film credit in the 2006 Christmas comedy film Deck the Halls starring Hollywood giants Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick.
Her father Nelson Peltz is Jewish – and the actress revealed in an Instagram post in 2016 the matching Hebrew tattoos she got with her brother the actor Will Peltz.
The message, scrawled on her rib, reads “Family first.”
Originally from upstate New York, she is one of eight children born to her billionaire investor father, who is 73, and his third wife, the former model Claudia Heffner Peltz, 65.
A chief executive officer and managing partner at the multi-billion investment firm Trian Fund Management, her father is thought to be worth approximately $1.7 billion (£ 1.3b), according to Forbes.
The investor reportedly spent an estimated $2 million (£1.6m) on a sumptuous barmitzvah party for his twin sons, according to a 2016 report in the US daily newspaper, the New York Post
Born to Jewish parents in Brooklyn in New York City, he dropped out of university to work in his family’s frozen-food delivery business, according to Fortune Magazine.
He described his work-focused parenting style during an interview with the outlet in 2007. “My kids are exhausted every day, and I keep them that way. It’s gym, ice, homework. They’re too tired to get in trouble,” he said.
“I don’t want them to see me walking off with a bag of golf clubs over my shoulder. If they see me work hard, it’s better than a lecture,” he added.
