Wimbledon 2018 – Day One in pictures

Camila Giorgi is through to the second round of the women’s singles competition at Wimbledon.

Beating Latvian Anastasija Sevastova 6-1, 2-6, 6-4, in just under two hours, the Italian – who’s ranked at 52 in the world, next takes on American Madison Brengle on Wednesday.

Israeli interest at the tournament commences on Tuesday when Dudi Sela faces the daunting task of taking on the world number one, Rafael Nadal. The match is scheduled to be the second one on Centre Court. Elsewhere, on Tuesday, the world’s top-ranked Jewish men’s player, Diego Schwartzman, gets his tournament underway, when he takes on Bosnian Mirza Basic.
