A woman who reportedly ran at children with a knife in Stamford Hill shouting ‘I want to kill all you Jews’ has been arrested.

The suspect was detained on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and is expected to undergo a mental health assessment.

A police statement said they were “called to Craven Park Road on Sunday evening to reports of a woman in possession of a knife behaving erratically.”

They said a 47-year-old woman “remains in custody at an east London police station”.

After the incident was reported to the police by neighbourhood watch group Shomrim on Sunday evening, police said they will “continue to work with community partners to keep Haringey safe”.
