This year’s national Holocaust remembrance ceremony, set for the evening of May 5th, will take place at a significant and historic central London outdoor location.

Yom HaShoah UK says this year’s event, marking the first large-scale, in-person commemoration since 2019, emphasizes the importance of community, solidarity, and collective memory.

In the shadow of the tragic events of October 7th, approval for the event was only recently granted and planning is now rapidly underway. Since launching only last week, over 800 tickets have already been booked online —a testament to the community’s heartfelt want to participate in this solemn occasion in person.

The 2024 ceremony will honour the 85th anniversary of the Kindertransport and pay tribute to the children of the Holocaust, promoting as it always does a message of hope and resilience. Children’s choirs combined from several Jewish primary schools will sing alongside combined male voice choirs.

Yom HaShoah 2024

Yom HaShoah UK invites all members of the UK Jewish community to join them in this historic gathering, not only to remember the past but to reinforce our community’s collective future and inspiring hope to all future generations.

Doors will open at 6pm, and ID will be required for entry. The specific location of the event will be disclosed to ticket holders closer to the date, ensuring security and privacy for all attendees.
